RITA BENOY BUSHON
FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mdm Rita founded RAA Capital (RAA) in 2017 and has spearheaded its growth since. She is currently an Associate Director of SCS Global Sdn. Bhd and holds an investment representative license in corporate finance (CMSLR license under the Securities Commission Malaysia). She is the Founder Director of RAA Capital Partners Sdn Bhd.

Rita Benoy Bushon (“Rita”) is an established professional with a background in finance and a focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. With her extensive experience as a Managing Director of RAA, Rita has gained expertise in corporate governance, internal controls, ESG strategies, and financial structuring within the infrastructure, ports, and logistics sectors.
Currently, Rita holds key roles as a director and a capital market license holder in SCS Global Advisory Sdn Bhd, a reputable boutique capital market license firm in Malaysia. Her involvement in shaping the Advisory Committee for Access to
Capital and Financing under the National Shipping and Port Council (NSPC) underscores her commitment to fostering robust capital mechanisms supporting fleet modernisation in Malaysia’s shipping industry.

Dato Darawati Hussain
Chairperson
Dato' Darawati Hussain is a Director of Syalin Sdn. Bhd., a family investment office. Formerly with CIMB Group, her last position was as Director, Fund and Co-Investor Relations under the Group Strategy and Strategic Investments Division (CIMB GSSI).
She has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, asset management and private equity. Darawati first joined the corporate advisory team of CIMB Group (Malaysia) where she specialised in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions. She also spent five years in London where she was a European equities portfolio manager for a US fund management company with asset under management (AUM) worth US$70 billion.
In 2001, she rejoined CIMB Group to set-up and develop the private equity franchise formerly known as CIMB Private Equity and Venture Capital and in particular, driving the initiative to set-up the Shariah-compliant private equity funds.
She also serves as Chairman of RHB Private Equity Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and as an Independent Board Member of Magna Prima Berhad, Malaysia Venture Capital Management Berhad (MAVCAP), RHB Investment Bank Berhad and the Audit Oversight Board. She is also a Director of several private-limited companies involved in a diverse range of businesses namely strategic crisis management communication and HSE consultancy.
She was formerly an Independent Non-Executive Board member for Tanah Makmur Berhad, Asiamet Education Group Berhad, Global Maritime Ventures Berhad, Investment Committee of BIMB Investment Management Berhad, Aladdin Group Sdn Bhd, Aladdin Street Dotcom (M) Sdn Bhd and Corporate Protection Malaysia (CPM) Sdn Bhd.
Dato’ Darawati was a former Chairperson of Malaysia Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (MVCA) and committee member of Malaysia Venture Capital Development Corporation (MVCDC) under SC and remains an active member of MVCA. She is also an Investment Committee member for the equity funds under Agensi Innovasi Malaysia (a unit under the PM’s office).
She holds a bachelors’ degree in Economics and Accountancy from Durham University, UK and also Master in Business Administration from London Business School, UK. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Director
Datin Maznah Mahbob has been an investment professional for the greater part of her career (30 years) leading AMINVEST, an award winning bank owned fund management business comprising AmFunds Management, Amislamic Fund Management, PT AmInvestasi, managing various asset classes, both conventional and Islamic , domestic and foreign, with multi distribution channels for insitutional and retail investors, as Chief Investment Officer initially and then Chief Executive Officer for 15 years . She was also on the Boards of AMMB Labuan and AmNominees. Her earlier foundation (3 years) was in corporate finance in Aminvestment Bank.
Subsequently she was Independant Chairman of the Investment Panel of Tabung Haji (2 years).
She has also been on the Board and Investment Committee of BIMB Invest , a wholly owned asset management subsidiary of Bank Islam for the last 7 years and is currently their Independant and Non Executive Chairman.
Over the last 5 years she has also been active as Partner in Singularity Ventures incubating and mentoring a group of tech companies which has since been consolidated into Singularity Connect Sdn Bhd, providing B2B AI enabled IR 4.0 digital IOT and software transformation tools for specialist industry and agri sectors.
She is also the Managing Partner (Asia)-Islamic Finance & Invesrments in Strategic Swiss Partners AG, a licenced investment and management firm based in Zurich .
She is also a member of both the Malaysian and Global External Advisory Boards of Nottingham University Business School.
She has spoken in various conferences, locally and abroad, as a thought leader on Investments and Finance.
Her professional qualification was as Graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (UK) .
She has attended numerous post graduate courses includng the Investment Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Her previous contributions to continuous professional education has been as an Advisory Panel member for the Investment Management Modules for the Capitak Markets Licencing exams for the Securities Commission as well as being an External Industry Advisor for the CFA curriculum .

Mohanthas Narayanasamy

Mohanthas graduated with LLB from University of London, United Kingdom in 1986 and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1991. Mohanthas has wide experience in corporate/commercial matters whilst in practice in the United Kingdom and subsequently set up his own boutique legal firm in 1995 in London. He returned to Malaysia in 2002 and worked in major law firms advising clients on foreign investment and conducting business in Malaysia, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate exercises, and capital fund raising via IPO exercises on Bursa Stock Exchange.
With the onset of rapid advancement in digital technology in business today and embracing AI and blockchain technology, Mohanthas actively participates in the emerging sectors in fintech, payments system and digital exchange platforms navigating the complex regulatory regimes together with particular focus on esg compliance, cybersecurity and data privacy/protection requirements.

Ravi Menon is a graduate of Business from the University of East London (“UEL”), UK. He has over thirty of operational experience setting up HR systems, IT implementations, and Corporate Communication. Blending people, technology and communication, he consults on formulating strategies to create and value-add to the ‘environment, social and governance’ aspirations of partner organisations. He’s held various positions heading IT Systems and software Development and as an HR Team Manager in SAP Consulting. Recently, he has worked with CEOs and boards, providing services to formalise Board and Committee governance policy, structure, and operations.
Ravi’s expertise lies in blending people, technology and communication and consulting on formulating strategies while championing sustainability and responsible business practices. His consultancy work focuses on promoting sustainability and responsible business practices, drawing on his extensive experience in these areas. His entry into the realm of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) was a natural extension of his career. With a strong foundation in blending human resources, technological advancements, and effective communication, Ravi drives organisational success. His holistic approach not only fosters long-term value for stakeholders but also prioritises the well-being of the environment, ensuring sustainable growth for the future.
His background in IT and commitment to ESG principles is reflected in his work with ESG advisory services, working on Carbon Emissions tracking and management partnerships with digital ESG platforms. Ravi’s ability to understand environmental landscapes and his prior exposure to board requirements and sustainable business development make him ideal to lead ESG Project Management.

He was also previously the Chief Internal Auditor for a financial group listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Sumita is a seasoned professional with a robust track record in developing and leading partner ecosystems, She brings over a decade of experience in strategic partnerships, revenue growth, and team leadership across multiple geographies. She’s served in senior positions as Head of a Japanese partnership with a local partner in Kuala Lumpur. She’s successfully doubled partner-influenced revenue from USD 5 million to USD 10 million and secured key partnerships. Additionally, Sumita has chaired major partner events generating over 1,000 MQLs and a USD 15 million+ pipeline, achieving the #1 position for her previous firm’s Salesforce Pipe Power program.
Amongst her achievements, Sumita was instrumental in catapulting partner-influenced revenue from less than USD 500K to over USD 5 million. She’s had extensive exposure in her global career where she surpassed yearly alliance bookings targets, conducted joint workshops with partners yielding substantial leads and pipelines, and led award-winning marketing and communications efforts. Sumita’s expertise in strategic alliances, partner ecosystem development, and marketing communications has consistently driven business growth and market presence. Bikash has over 35 years of experience in developing and managing Environmentally Compliant Projects and Services, particularly Renewable Energy Projects. The combination of his expertise and wealth of knowledge is fueled by his deep-rooted passion for the emergence of truly sustainable developments in this region.
He is currently a Board member of the Malaysia Green Building Council (malaysiaGBC), an established member of the World Green Building Council (World), with members in 73 countries globally. The WorldGBC operates through five regions: Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, and the Asia Pacific Network (APN). BK Sinha recently completed his two-year tenure as the Regional Vice Chair of the APN.
As a Project Manager in the construction industry, accounting for built environment accounts for 40 percent of all waste worldwide, he contributed to making sustainable buildings and infrastructure in Malaysia the norm rather than the exception. Amongst many other Projects, he is the innovator behind FatHopesEnergy (www.fathopesenergy.com), a leader in the region as a premier consolidator and processor of used organic fats, oils and grease to EN standard biodiesel.
His holistic experience and approach to all stakeholders’ inclusivity is his forte in all his projects. BK Sinha is also respected as a leader and mentor in many notable sustainable projects in Malaysia, Maldives, Cambodia and Vietnam.
